Maayane is a director of photography specializing in narrative cinema, music videos, and commercials, with a wide record of recognizable work around the world, primarily in Germany and Israel. Her credits are many, and her work has been showcased in festivals around the world. One of her remarkable achievements is working as the DP for Ed Sheeran’s music video “PAGE.” She honed her skills in the Israeli film industry before joining the prestigious cinematography program at the DFFB in Berlin, supported by a full scholarship for excellent students. In Europe, she specialized in analog cinematography (16mm, 35mm) and underwater cinematography while scuba diving. Already as a student at Thelma Yellin High School of Art, her graduation film won the student competition at the Jerusalem International Film Festival. Maayane is always passionate about new ideas, embracing challenges with unusual artistic expression and creating striking visuals that allow exploring new emotions. Her work is precise, and she is passionate about working with light and well-done compositions. She stays true to the director’s vision while being involved in the process from the spark of an idea all the way to the final export. Maayane is adept at managing sets and projects of all sizes with the dedication and precision-planning needed to turn a dream into reality.
