Maor Alteras is a director and screenwriter. He discovered his passion for film and television at the age of 16, when he won the “Born Advertiser” competition using his father’s home camera. He quickly transitioned into the director’s chair, developing a personal language and a distinctive creative signature. Since then, he has worked מתוך a clear understanding that every piece stands or falls on storytelling, and his ability to extract emotion from any narrative allows him to translate scripts into smart, visually refined works. Maor grew from the position of a cinematographer (DOP), an experience that gives him a strong advantage as a director, with a deep understanding of light, composition, and rhythm, alongside the ability to lead productions with precision and efficiency while maintaining a high visual standard. Today, he naturally integrates cinematic craft with advanced AI tools—always as a means to serve the story. Over the years, he has directed campaigns for television and social media, branded content films for leading companies, and projects for Kan 11 (including “Three Steps” and “Made in Israel”), as well as the documentary film “Batakh, Yael,” which was featured in the International Short Film Competition at the Docaviv Festival. Maor’s work is characterized by tight scripting and complete control, giving each story a compelling on-screen presence that connects with and captivates audiences. |
