Iddo Soskolne is a cinematographer with a cross-border career, working across countries and cultures. He graduated with honors from the Sam Spiegel School of Film and Television. He began his professional journey in Finland, climbing the ranks within the camera department, and since 2003 has been working between Finland and Israel, with projects in many other countries including Sweden, Russia, Germany, the Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Spain. Ido has extensive and diverse experience in shooting feature films, documentaries, television series, and commercial projects. His work is characterized by a deep narrative approach and the ability to tailor a precise visual language for each project, based on the understanding that every film is a separate world, with its own tone, pace, and unique atmosphere. Among his credits are award-winning feature films and documentaries, as well as international television series, including productions for Netflix and YLE. In addition to his work as a cinematographer, Ido also works as a director and screenwriter. His short film Reunion was screened at numerous festivals worldwide, receiving an honorable mention at the Berlin International Film Festival and the Best Short Film award at the Bucheon International Film Festival.
Ido has also taught cinematography at the Sam Spiegel School of Film and Television. His work combines extensive technical expertise with artistic sensitivity, working with actors and a deep understanding of the filmmaking process, from development to the final image on screen.
