Roy fell in love with cinema as a teenager and has been making films ever since. He continued to hone his craft as a filmmaker while in the IDF, working in the film unit of the Spokesperson’s Office as a director and head of post-production. Roy’s direction is careful and precise, distilling a story down to its essence and creating a visually arresting aesthetic that captures the viewer’s attention. He’s well-versed and experienced in a variety of mediums: from dramatic narratives to digital shorts; from vivid advertisements to comic crowd-pleasers. Along with the support of the Gesher Foundation, Roy’s short films have participated in festivals throughout the globe and garnered international success. Currently, he’s writing his first feature film.
