Ben is one of Israel’s most sought-after and versatile directors, with extensive experience in major and iconic projects. He began his career as an editor and screenwriter, and from there, the path to directing films, television, and commercials quickly followed. Ben’s comedic résumé is among the most impressive in the country – over six seasons of Eretz Nehederet, he directed the most popular sketches featuring unforgettable characters such as the Philosophers, Mai’s Blog, Hamudi’s Restaurant, Shauli, and more. Ben created and directed the series Zanzouri for yes, starring Yuval Samo. The feature film he directed, The Last Band in Lebanon, became a box-office hit, attracting over 300,000 viewers in cinemas. Additionally, he created and directed the cult series HaIsraelim with the comedy trio Ma Kashur, and later Im Segula. Most recently, Ben directed the trilogy in the feature film Release Shuli, which was filmed in Colombia and shattered all records, with over one million tickets sold, ranking as the most-watched Israeli film of all time. Alongside his television work, Ben directs commercials for major brands such as Bank Hapoalim, Maccabi Healthcare, Goldstar, Nasty, Pango, Prigat, Urbanica, Ford, and more. In July 2025, the sequel to the Israeli box-office hit Release Shuli Sun premiered, filmed and produced in Japan. Since its release, over 1,300,000 viewers have seen it in cinemas across the country – a figure that makes it one of the most-watched films in the history of Israeli cinema.
